How do you help your customers with color?
I've found that when it comes to selecting colors, the more guidence that i can give the customers, the less time it takes.
I look at the dominant colors in their flooring and furniture and point out the family of colors that will work best. I show them samples inf fan decks and let them make the choice. If we need, I will have them buy a few quarts of paint and apply them in a couple of areas.
Too often, people make the mistake of looking at the 1-inch sample and then try to envision what the color will look like in the room. I look at the entire room and let that guide my decision.
People can spend months looking at color charts and never arrive at a decision. Within a half hour, I can suggest a color that they haven't considered and they love it. People trust my judgement and expect my help.
